Released 20 years ago this past Saturday, this is the seventh studio album from Christian rock artist Ashley Cleveland. Ashley is known for her songwriting that talks about life's struggles along with God's grace and power, plus for her amazing vocals. On this album, she mixes 8 original songs with 2 covers of songs by Stevie Wonder and Leon Russell. Her husband, Kenny Greenberg, co-produces the album with her and plays his electric guitar which I always love. "Queen Of Soul" starts the album off as a tribute to Aretha Franklin, and songs like "Twilight Hour" and "The Blessing" keep the band rollin' throughout. "Streams Of Mercy" and "Deeper Walk" and other songs bring slower but more personal songs and showcase the quality musicianship here.
