According to an e-mail from PasteStore.com, the upcoming issue of my favorite magazine has a killer sampler. Not only does Paste Issue 20 have a Sufjan Stevens track, but the gem is a track from the forthcoming full-length from Mute Math. Sure, all of us who are avid Mute Math fans have been watching the "Chaos" video for months (if not years), but it'll be great to finally have the studio version on my iPod.

Yeah, she surely did that. And now Gotee Records wants to take that papercut and pour lemon juice on it ...again.

Is this the begnning of the end for me?

In a couple weeks, the world will see the latest release from my all-time favorite band, delirious?, which is titled The MIssion Bell. I'm hoping it's better than World Service and hearkens back to their old stuff a bit more, but we'll see.

Last night I made it to a show of Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers. They were pretty entertaining but very annoying, but the main reason I went was to see the opening act. Mat Kearney hit the stage with just his acoustic guitar, but that did not detract from his set at all.

Hey folks, now burning music is legal! No, it's still not legit to use LimeWire, it's only legal to burn CDs at Sam Goody.

Yeah, the mall music chain is trying to create a space where they can still sell CDs at prices 30% higher than Best Buy. So their store at The Mall now has a bunch of computer terminals in the middle of the store. They're marked with "CD Burning" everywhere. But what does that mean from a legit standpoint?

So, Third Day's coming out with a new album. Some would be excited, but looking at the signs, I'm not. I think they're losing it.

I remember the good days. In 1997 I got Conspiracy No. 5, an amazing rock album that included such songs as "Alien," "My Hope Is You," "Who Am I," and the epic "Gomer's Theme." My sisters and my parents didn't think their well-produced rock was cool, but I dugg it.

OK, so maybe it wasn't the big surprise. But announced yeterday was The Elms announcement of being signed to Nashville-based Universal South. Also, the band will go into the studio and co-produce their album with David Bianco (Tom Petty, Rage Against The Machine, AC/DC, Black Crowes, Primal Scream). Sounds like a great position for my favorite rock 'n' roll band to be in. Let's just hope Universal doesn't keep the album in limbo for too many months. These guys are ready to dominate and I can't wait too long for new music.

So yeah, yesterday I got back from the Sonshine Festival. It was not the most exciting one I've been too, and me and my friends did too many social things for my taste. (For me, it's all about getting as much music in as possible, while for others, it's about hanging out with friends and some music.) But we caught the important shows.
