Released 2 years ago today, this is the eleventh studio vocal album by artist and producer Charlie Peacock. Though Charlie Peacock may currently be known better as the third member of the duo The Civil Wars or the man who signed Switchfoot to their first record contract, he also makes pop/rock music and wrote '90s Christian pop songs "In The Light" or "Every Heartbeat". After nearly 50 years working in music and being a human who thinks deeply about everything, Charlie Peacock's vocal albums are very interesting musically and also include lots of his thoughts on life and the world. Charlie lyrically mixes love songs, songs about his Christian faith and thoughts on aging, and the music mixes Americana, rock, jazz, Gospel and more. It's a quick, beautiful 40 minutes of music and I'm glad we get to continue to hear music from this artist. I think my favorites here are "Turtle In A Chinese Food Box", "Get Yourself Some" and "Damnation", but give the whole album a listen.
